I have some work for sale in the Canberra Glassworks shop. They are from my Trace series and are $80 each. They look great by themselves and make wonderful gifts but are even better in sets of three. They are wall panels and come with the hanging system included (wooden frame is for display only).
My residency at the Canberra Glassworks is going well and I have been doing lots of tests and my desks are beginning to fill up. I have been working in the hot shop, cold room, kiln room and flame working area. Below are some examples of what I have been working on. Feel free to come and check them out at the Glassworks any time from Wednesday to Sunday 10-4.
I will be giving a talk at the Canberra Glassworks as part of my residency on 19th March at 4pm. It is part of the Crystal Clear series and artists Heike Brachlow and Ruth Oliphant will also be giving talks.
Please RSVP by no later than 5pm on Tuesday 17 March 2015 to rsvp@canberraglassworks.com or Ph: 02 6260 7005 Light refreshments will be provided. February and March are two huge months for me and my work. First I had a 5 day workshop with Jessica Loughlin in Adelaide which was incredible and wonderfully inspiring. Then there was the biannual Ausglass Conference "States of illumination" where I was able to meet many other glass artists from across Australia and watch some great talks and demos from artists across the globe.
Then today I started my 6 week residency at Canberra Glassworks, where I can fully immerse myself in my work and create without the hindrance of time. Feel free to drop in at the Glassworks for a chat, as I will be in every day and am always willing to answer questions about my work. Also, what this space for updates on exciting new work that I will be working on while I am there. My space for Design Canberra is ready and looking great. Swing round to the Lonsdale Street Traders in the next couple of days to see examples from all my series as well as other beautiful works by local Canberra artists.
Design Canberra has heaps of things for you to see and do this weekend including a design market on Saturday. Grab a copy of the brochure from an participating venue in town and you will be sure to find something you will enjoy. |
