Several years ago I was fortunate enough to be selected as Artist-in-Residence by Craft ACT as part of their yearly partnership with Namadgi National Park. This year marks the 10th anniversary of this partnership and as such they have invited all past participants back to a take part in a collaborative residency program.
On September 17th Craft ACT and Namadgi National Park are celebrating the last 10 years with a visit to Namadgi that includes talks from most of the artists and the opportunity to learn about Aboriginal tools, artifacts and bush craft. The artists involved are; Barb McConchie, Bernard Morris, Marian Hosking, Kirstie Rea, Paull Klee, Jo Searle, Sally Blake, Annee Miron, Ruth Hingston, Marily Cintra and Zsuzsi Soboslay. It will be a wonderful and highly interesting day and I encourage all to attend.
I shall be undertaking my part of the collaborative residency from 24th to 26th September and am very much looking forward to working with the other like-minded artists to create works of art based on such a beautiful place.
